The Anne Kolb Nature Center is an institution in Hollywood Miami that caters as a home to a variety of plants, animals and even endangered species.
The Anne Kolb Nature Center is named after a famous active environmentalist and County Commissioner who proposed ordinance to protect the environment over future developments. Though it has not been easy, all her efforts paid off acquisition and plans for the preservation, enhancement, and public accessibility of West Lake received the prestigious Take Pride in America Award. After the rigrous process the nature center finally opened on February 10, 1996. Anne Kolb Nature Center center offers great facilities for various activities held in the area such as hands-on nature experience, cater events, kayak, fishing and more. Admission is $1.50 per person (ages 6 and up) , $8 maximum charge per car or van (six to nine occupants) and $20 maximum charge per commercial vehicle/school bus (10 or more occupants).
