The Monkey Jungle started in 1933 when Joseph DuMond released six monkeys. His venture leads to a beneficial result in the primatological and zoological fields. DuMond has chosen South Florida as it has a similar climate to the Southeast Asia, the primates native home. Since then, over 400 primates running free on a 30 acre reserve and instead visitors are to observe them in uniquely designed human cage. Expect monkeys running scamper above your head, swing through trees and interact with each other. Sure, it is a great experience to be in a unique jungle that provides the animals a natural habitat in a way that they can be in their natural behavior while the people get to learn, appreciate and understand the natural ways of these precious creatures.
