Miami is more than just a tourist destination with the perfect location and climate but also a city of arts. The Miami Design District is a neighborhood that dedicated to innovation of arts in any form. Bring out the artist in you as the de la Cruz Collection in collaboration with the Miami local artist organized a free summer workshop for the residents of Miami for 4 years now. In aiming to educate artists, students and teachers on contemporary arts, this special, hands-on seminar introduces various techniques and other projects to enhance the creativity in everyone. Students and teachers are welcome to join this special workshop with Karen Rifas and together discover the potentials in each and every one. There are two sessions for the workshop which was last week July 20 and this Saturday July 27 2013 from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm.
Sculptures and Found Objects Workshop at Miami introduces the principles of design with emphasis on the different art elements. It also features activities such as sculptural techniques, collage, canvas and more of new craft ideas. Who knows this might lead to venturing new business producing young entrepreneurs and future stars in the art industry.
