15th Annual Haitian Compas Festival
What’s so good in Miami? There is always something going on and indeed there will be a party this coming Friday May 15 to thru Monday May 20 as the Haitians celebrate Compas Festival. On May 18 Saturday, Haitian will be celebrating highlight 15thAnnual Haitian Flag Day. This festival will draw 15,000 people to downtown Miami with more than half of the population as tourist.
Next to New York, Miami has the biggest market of Compa Fest and people from New York, Paris and Canada come here to celebrate every year. The festival features the Haitian-American DJ Griot who has been hosting the event for a 13 years, Djakout , Emeline Michel and Belo and DJ 5Etwal. As per, Mr. Rodney Noel of Noel & Cecibon Productions on this year’s Haitian Compras.
